Cookie Policy
This page says what cookies this journal uses, what they are for, and how you can refuse them in your browser. Last updated 28 September 2026.
SG Garden Notes is an independent visitor journal. We do not sell tickets and we never process payments. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social-network plugins, or “sponsored content” cookies on these pages.
1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Some cookies are essential to show you the page you requested. Others are used to track readers across sites for advertising. We do not use the second kind.

We do not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or social-login cookies. We do not drop cookies for remarketing. There is no checkout on this journal, so there is no payment cookie from us.
3. Third parties
If you follow a link away from this site — a map, a search engine, or an operator’s own website — that destination may set its own cookies. We do not control them. We are not affiliated with any attraction or its operator.
Photographs on some pages are served from this host after being obtained from public repositories (Wikimedia Commons). Loading those files from our server does not set a third-party tracking cookie from those repositories.
4. How to refuse cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and others each have a cookies or “privacy” panel). The articles will still read. If you block all cookies, a half-typed contact message may be lost if you leave the page; that is expected.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal. We do not run advertising trackers that would listen for it, because we do not run advertising trackers.
5. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies do not require a marketing-consent banner under the PDPA when they are used only to deliver the service you asked for. We do not put a cookie wall in front of the journal. If we ever added optional analytics — we have no present plan to — this page would be updated first and we would ask before setting them.
6. Changes and contact
If the cookies on this site change, we will update this page and the date above.
